Mr. Ali Mushtaq

Mr. Ali Mushtaq was born in Pakistan and acquired the education in Peshawar by securing the degree of LLB from Peshawar University. The acquired degree assisted him to get profound knowledge of Shari’ah Law, particularly Islamic financial transactions. He left to Australia to secure Post Graduate Certificate in Business from Griffith University (Brisbane, Australia) and afterwards he also secured Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and finance from Pakistan. At his return from Australia, he joined Ghazanfar Bank (Kabul, Afghanistan) and worked in Credits & Islamic Investment Department for three years. In his tenure with Ghazanfar Bank, he successfully held the charge of Deputy Chief Credit Officer, Acting Chief Credit Officer and Head of Islamic Investments. He then joined Islamic Bank of Thailand (Bangkok, Thailand) in 2011 and discharged his responsibilities as Assistant Vice President and “Islamic Banking Specialist” for three years. He had rejoined Ghazanfar Bank in capacity of Chief Islamic Banking Officer in March, 2015 and is working since then for the development and excellence of Islamic Banking.
